Explaining Soft Start and Hard Start for Teams

MaidCentral gives you the ability to change the way employees on a specific team will get paid.

Start Time Type Setting

This setting is managed under your team's setting, found in the Company Tab > Teams

Once inside the Teams menu, clicking on the Blue Team name will allow you to adjust the individual team settings and change the Start Time Type

Soft Start :

  • Employees can clock in before their scheduled start time and are paid for the early clock-in.

  • Scheduled Work Start Time will automatically set to the time your employee clocked in for the day on the Employees > Daily Timeclocks > Clocks tab

Hard Start:

  • Employees can clock in before their scheduled start time, but they are not paid and officially clocked in until their scheduled start time.

  • Scheduled Work Start Time will automatically set to the time your employee is scheduled to work for that day on the Employees > Daily Timeclocks > Clocks tab
