Hourly Billing

With our August 2024 build, Hourly Billing is now supported through an automatic process set at the Scope of Work.

There are several things to note about the Hourly Billing automation; as it has some stipulations and will interact in a specific way based on:

  • Automation will NOT update the Allowed Hours

  • Minimum Bill Rate (per Job) will be considered when calculating the new Base Fee

  • Trainee actual hours will be multiplied by Scope of Work > Trainee Factor

  • Automatically update percent-based rate mods after calculating new Base Fee

Within a Scope of Work, you can select how the Base Fee Logs are managed with Fixed or Hourly Billing Types.

Fixed (no change)

  • Fixed billing is the standard billing that will apply a set Base Fee based on the Base Fee Log of the Service Set (Job) being Completed

    • For example: A job with the below-seen rate will always be a $186 job unless manually adjusted. Even if Technicians take 10 hours to complete the below job the system will only charge $186 as that is the "fixed" price.

Hourly (new)

  • The Hourly billing option will create or update the Base Fee Log using the actual total time (Job Clocks / Timesheets) of the Job, after each Job is completed.

    • For example: Before the Job is worked, the Base Fee Log is $115 for 2.3 hours.

    • Once the Job is worked and is complete, the Technician's actual time on the Job is 2.5 hours.

    • A Base Fee Log is created for the same date as the job 2.5 x $50 = $125:

    • Note : Hours will not be updated automatically. Hours are used for planning purposes.

Setting Hourly Billing

  • Hourly Billing can be set within each Scope of Work. Found under your Company tab > Quoting and Scopes > Scopes of Work Tab

  • Once inside the Scope of Work, you can select which type of billing you would like
