We're excited to announce another update to MaidCentral! This release focuses on giving your customers better appointment visibility, adding a flexible to refund processing, and ensuring tips reach your technicians even after payroll closes.
New Features
Post-Close Tip Processing
Never worry about late tips again! If a customer leaves a tip after the payroll period has closed, the system now automatically creates the tip payment in the next open payroll period. This ensures your technicians receive all their tips, even when customers tip after you've already closed payroll.
To activate this feature, go to Company > Settings > General > Features > Customer: Leave Tip after Job Invoiced or Payroll Closed, and toggle the feature to ON.

Calendar Subscription for Customers
Give your customers an easy way to keep track of their appointments! When enabled, customers can now subscribe to their appointment schedule directly from their portal and view it in their preferred calendar app (Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, etc.).
How it works:
Customers click the "Subscribe to Calendar" button in their portal
They receive a subscription link to add to their calendar application
Their upcoming appointments automatically appear and stay synchronized

You can enable this feature by going to Company > Settings > General > Features > Customer Portal: Calendar Subscription. You can click on Settings to tailor how many days out your customers will see and when your arrival times will populate for upcoming jobs.

Credit Card Refund Processing
Process refunds for Paystri (CardConnect) credit card charges without leaving MaidCentral! This new feature streamlines your refund workflow and keeps everything in sync.
What you can do:
Issue full or partial refunds directly from the Customer Profile or the Credit Card Transactions report
Automatically void charges that haven't settled yet
Generate matching refund receipts in QuickBooks (when connected)
Adjust job bill rates automatically when refunding job-related charges
Setup Required: Before processing refunds, you'll need to specify your Refund Item in the QBO Settings on the Integrations tab.

Gift cards are now available with Paystri!
Admin Gift Card Creation
Office staff can now create complimentary gift cards directly from the Gift Card management page — perfect for promotions, customer service recovery, or special occasions.
Franchise Gift Card Landing Pages
Franchise organizations can now offer a single gift card purchase page that automatically routes customers to the correct location based on their postal code. This creates a seamless experience for customers while ensuring sales are attributed to the right location.
Postal Code Validation
Gift card recipients' postal codes are now validated against your service area to prevent customers from purchasing gift cards they can't actually use.

Improvements
Contact Info Notes Visible in Note Modal
We've made it easier to reach the right person every time! When selecting a recipient in the "To" field of the Note Modal, you'll now see Contact Info Notes displayed alongside phone numbers and email addresses.
Why this helps:
Labels like "wife’s phone" or "husband's email" appear right in the dropdown, so you can quickly identify and select the correct contact without second-guessing.

Better Payment Processing Notifications
We've enhanced the nightly payment reconciliation job to provide clearer, more actionable notifications when there are issues with your Paystri (CardConnect) credentials. Error notifications now include more helpful details and direct links to help you resolve issues quickly.
Bug Fixes
We've resolved several issues to improve accuracy and reliability:
Sales KPI and New Customers Reports: Fixed an issue where these reports could occasionally show incorrect data due to how historical job dates were being compared. Your sales and customer acquisition numbers should now be more accurate.
Customer Portal Calendar: Resolved a display issue with certain feature settings in the Customer Portal calendar.
QuickBooks Invoice Charges: Fixed an issue where QuickBooks invoice charges could fail if the invoice couldn't be retrieved due to a caching problem.
