Features - If you delete a customer they'll be removed from the system completely. If you lock a customer, you'll still be able to see their account but you won't have access to the home level anymore.
Deleted -
Deleting a customer can be done from inside the customer profile > "Actions" at the top right > Delete
Examples as to why you would Delete a customer's account-
EX . Accidentally create a duplicate customer account.
EX. Created a test customer that I want deleted
EX. Booked a test lead and don't want it to count towards our numbers
You can only delete a customer who has had no jobs completed and technicians have never checked in and out of a job creating time records
Locked -
To lock the customer account. From the customer level of the account, Click Actions Lock Customer. Enter reason why and save. Your user name, date and reason why the account is locked will display.
If you approve for the customer to come back, you can then return to Actions and Unlock Customer.
If you do not want the customer to have any future jobs on the schedule,
You will need to Cancel Service, before locking the account. Locking the account will not allow for you to gain access to the Home Level of the account once locked.
When locking a customer, it does not automatically lock them out of their customer portal.
If they have an active customer portal account, you will need to go to their User Account tab and Lock Account or Delete Account.
Examples as to why you would Lock a customer's account -
EX. Customer's house is infested with bugs. Will not clean until they confirm house has been treated.
EX. Customer hasn't paid for their service but tries to schedule again.
EX. Customer is mean so you never want to clean their house again.
Finding/Viewing your locked customers
A list of all customers who have been locked can be found 2 ways.
Under the Company > Campaigns > Create Account Customer Invite. Click the blue Search button. All locked customer accounts will appear at the top of the list, highlighted in red.
In the screenshot seen below, we currently have two locked customer accounts.
Second, Under the Customer Tab > Search Customers, doing a "Basic" search with no parameters will return all Locked customers to the very top of the search (highlighted in red)
