Can I Delete a Rate Log?

1. What It Is

In the Home level of a Customer’s account, each Service Set’s Price, Allowed Time, and Frequency are managed through the Rate Log. Think of the Rate Log as a schedule—it tells the system what to charge, how often the service occurs, and how long each visit is expected to take.

Rate Logs cannot be deleted, but they can be overwritten. To do this, select Update Base Fee and enter a new entry with updated values for Base Fee, Frequency, or Allowed Hours. Be sure to use the same date as the entry you're trying to overwrite.

2. Why It Matters

Rate Logs allow you to lock in key service details while still providing flexibility for future changes. This structure enables you to:

  • Schedule future rate increases without disrupting service

  • Maintain a reliable audit trail of rate adjustments

  • Ensure consistency across all jobs in the Service Set

Each job references the Rate Log to determine:

  • The Base Rate

  • The Allowed Time

  • The Service Frequency (e.g., One Time, Every Week, Every 2 Weeks, etc.)

3. How To Do It

To overwrite an entry in the Rate Log:

  • First, locate the rate log entry to be updated. In our example, it’s the highlighted row with an effective date of 03/05/2025.
