Summary of Specific Settings and How Their Functions

Work Start Time is set when the Employee clocks in for the day, depending on if the team the employee is scheduled for is Hard Start or Soft Start
 
Work start time is how the system will know how to pay your employees based on the "Team Start Type" for the day
  • If the Team that the Employee is scheduled on is a Hard Start
    • Clocks in, the Work Start Time is saved as the Scheduled Start Time for that day. This is the time set at their Employee Profile > Availability Tab.
  • If the Team that the Employee is scheduled on is a Soft Start
    • Clocks in, the Work Start Time is saved as the Current Time of the Clock In

Settings > Payroll Options > Employee Start Time
  • Employee Start Time: This is a deprecated field that is no longer used. This used to be used in Payroll Calculations and was replaced with Work Start Time.
 
Settings > Features: Tech Dashboard: Future Jobs are Visible
  • With this enabled, the Technician Dashboard will display a Calendar to change the Date for Scheduled Jobs
  • Can ONLY clock in for the Current Date
  • Ignores the Technician Job Visibility (minutes) setting - below
 
Settings > General: Technician Job Visibility (minutes)
  • This ONLY comes into play if the above Feature (Tech Dashboard: Future Jobs are Visible) is not enabled.
  • Allows a Technician to see the Jobs for the Day XXXX Minutes before their Scheduled Start - Current Day only.
