Employee Schedule Settings

Features -
Company > General > Employee Schedule Settings let you determine some company wide settings that can affect your employees attendance and efficiency.

Follow along as we list out the six options and how to use them.

Allowed Unexcused Absences in 6 Months

This setting defines how many unexcused absences are allowed within a 6-month period before an employee is eligible for termination. Refer to your Employee Handbook for the exact number. For example, if your handbook allows 3 unexcused absences in 6 months before termination, this should be noted here.

Hours Before Shift Considered Emergency

This setting indicates how many hours before a scheduled shift an employee must notify the office to avoid an emergency time off request, which counts as an unexcused absence. If an employee requests time off less than this many hours before their scheduled start time, it will be considered Emergency Time Off and marked as an Unexcused absence. For example, if the feature is set to 2 hours, and an employee with an 8:00 AM start time requests the day off at 7:00 AM, they will be marked as Unexcused.

Number of Tardies Equals One Unexcused

This setting specifies how many instances of tardiness count as one unexcused absence. For example, if your policy states that three tardies equal one unexcused absence, then this should be set to 3.

Startup Time (Minutes)

This setting refers to the number of minutes it takes a technician to prepare for their workday after clocking in. This applies to technicians who need to prep supplies, vehicles, or equipment before starting their day. If your technicians do not require preparation time at the office, set this to zero.

Wrapup Time (Minutes)

Wrapup time refers to how many minutes it takes a technician to finish their workday upon returning to the office. This may include tasks such as returning supplies or cleaning equipment. If this does not apply to your company, leave this setting at zero.

Technician Job Visibility (Minutes)

This setting controls how many minutes before their scheduled start time technicians can see their jobs for the day. The limit is less than 1440 minutes (or 24 hours). Note: This feature only applies if the "Tech Dashboard: Future Jobs Are Visible" option is disabled. If technicians are allowed to view their jobs the morning of, this setting determines how long before their scheduled start time they can see their jobs after clocking in.
