This article will serve as a very basic outline as to what a POST is and how the Lead form POST can be used to your benefit in MaidCentral. We will just scratch the surface of what a POST can do for you and your business.
Found under the Company Tab > Quoting and Scopes > Iframes you will find multiple iframes and a large "Lead frame POST" seen below.
What is a POST?
POST is a "request method" supported in HTTPS (websites) to transfer and store data between servers. POSTS are most commonly used when uploading a file or when submitting a completed web form.
An example of how to use the above post will be taking Data from a Custom Web form on your website and having the form automatically post the specified data over to the MaidCentral Servers allowing data to transfer and not be entered multiple times by your clients.
In your case, it will be linked to a Custom Web form that a Web Developer can build for you to be put on your customer-facing webpage.
Where is my POST Data
All POST data and descriptions of what the field does can be found under the Company Tab > Quoting and Scopes > Iframes Tab
Please note, that the below is an Example, your scope of work and scope group IDs will not match below, and using the below IDs will create issues if you use them for your instance
When building your post there are a few things that are important to note and some issues we have had others run into that we will outline below.
POST data must be posted in a specific orde r
Seen below is Step 1 of the quoting tool, To post the field of *CustomerSourceID* (How Did You Hear About us) you must first populate the Scope Group ID and the Scope of Work ID.
The question which populates customer source, is located within the Scope of work, in order to access the question, you must access to the Scope of work, In order to access the scope of work you must populate the Scope Group
If using your Customer Form to post data to the quoting tool, using the below Quoting Tool Parameter section can help when formating the POST.
We find that people attempt the SCID and SSTGID after the First/last/email when it should be as seen below, 1st.
