User Account Roles and Permissions

User Account Roles

User Account Roles allow you to control access for your employees to certain areas and information of MaidCentral. You can edit roles by going to the Employee Profile > User Account tab. Below are the descriptions of each role and permission.

Roles

Technician - Only has access to the Technician Dashboard and jobs that are assigned to them. They can also access their own technician profile.

Office - Only has access to most features except payroll and sensitive information.  They can see some scheduling, customer, and employee reports.  They will not see the Company section.

Sales - Can do everything an Office user can but also has access to the Sales Dashboard and access to add credit cards from the Customer Profile > Payment tab.  They can see sales, scheduling, customer, and employee reports.  They will not see the Company section.

Administrator - Has access to all settings and features for a single service company, including the Company Section.  Has access to the Employee Profile > Notes. Administrators CAN see the partner tab but can not access the settings or invoice portion of the tab

Group Administrator - Same access as Administrator but for all service companies in a group. They will also have access to all features under Company > Partner.

PLEASE NOTE -- If the employee for your office needs access to create invoices, they must be an Administrator or higher.

Permissions

Group Administrators can grant or restrict specific access using permissions for employees with Office, Sales, or Administrator roles. Administrators will be granted these permissions by default.

HR Admin

This permission grants access to the following areas regarding an employee:

  • Can view the entire Notes tab of the Employee Profile

  • Can view reasons and comments for Time Off requests

Payroll Admin

This permission grants access to the following areas:

  • Can view the Payroll Summary

  • Can view the Additional Pay and Information tab > Pay & Tax Info in the Employee Profile

  • Can view the Additional Pay report

  • Can view the following reports:

    • Employee Census

    • Employee Weekly Pay

    • Paid Time Off

    • Technician Pay by Job

    • Week in Review

  • Can view and edit employee pay and timesheets
