Connected a Client/Customer to the Incorrect QBO Account

If you've accidentally connected a client in MaidCentral to the wrong customer in QuickBooks Online, don't worry, it can easily be fixed.

Deactivate the Customer:

  • First, you will need to make the incorrect customer inactive in QuickBooks

      • Inside of QBO you can Search for the customer at the top of QBO using the search function-

        •  

  • Or:

    • Click Customers and Leads  

    • Click their name to open their Customer Profile

    • Click the arrow next to Edit  

    • Click Make inactive

Once the Customer is Inactive:

  • Back in MaidCentral, refresh the client's account and connect the customer to the correct QuickBooks customer, or click New Customer within QuickBooks.  

  • Lastly, you will want to reactivate the inactive customer in QuickBooks.
